The app is a window onto the k2-daemon: install the daemon (see Linux Server below) for full autostart, or the app will sit at “Connecting” until a daemon is running.

Linux Server

Headless daemon

No GUI required. Run the always-on daemon on a VPS, a home server, or a Raspberry Pi — then reach it from the desktop app, the web, or your phone.

Fetches the right binary for your machine, minisign-verifies it against the K2 updater key, and installs a systemd service.
